Citra closes when loading game i could be wrong but i've always assumed that what disabling preload does is makes the game just load the textures as needed on the fly every time you play the game, rather than preloading them as the game boots so they're ready to go in memory. I have a very unique issue, however. Deleting citra and the game fixes the issue with a re-install. I haven’t messed with any settings, and it has been working earlier this week and yesterday. When I try to load any 3ds game it just crashes RetroArch no matter if I use the gl driver, the glcore driver, the gl1 driver or the vulkan driver it only shows the first frame and then crashes. if so, this might(?) mean that not preloading taxes the system more during gameplay (depending on how large the textures are) because the game loads I'll get straight to the point. My guess is that since it goes into a unresponsive state LB/BB sees it as being crashed or it thinks it failed to launch, and just closes it and brings you back to the frontend thinking it failed to launch the emulator properly.
